How To Survive A Blizzard Snow Storm

As I write this post, it’s almost 7PM and it looks like it is going to keep snowing here all night. We may wind up with 16″ to 20″. Who knows? Right now, we have power, so I was able to make this little quick video. We couldn’t use our wireless, so hubby devised a way to tap our Flat Screen TV directly into the internet and our satellite service. So, we’ve been watching all the Oscar winning movies through Pay Per View for $4.99 each. That comes to $2.50 for each of us to see an award winning movie. Way cheaper than if we had gone out to the movies and paid anywhere between $5 to $8 per person to see the winners.

If you ask me, it’s been a nice way to enjoy the snow storm. We cooked up a a bunch of foods yesterday, to prepare for this storm. As long as the food AND electricity holds out, we’re good.

If you don’t hear from us in a few days, send in the St. Bernard’s. LOL!

  1. So did you survive? Here at my son’s in Rhode Island we got heavy rain first then six inches of heavy snow. Looked beautiful the trees and bushes like your backyard. But since eight the trees have been Dropping snowballs of snow! Heading home later today, hopefully Pete my plow guy has cleared my driveway. Hartford, Ct area got twelve inches, predicted for my small town six to ten. I will see soon enough. Sincerely, Lara

    • We survived. Got 19 inches of snow. But easy to plow and drive through. Electricity is holding. All good. Thanks for asking.
