Down By The River

Bruce Springsteen said it best:

That night we went down to the river
And into the river we’d dive
Oh down to the river we did ride

One of the nicest things I enjoy doing where we live, is going down to the Historic Hudson River. You can take in the sights, launch a boat, have a picnic, catch a fish or just enjoy the view. Tonight we’re taking the scenic sunset river cruise but yesterday we just hung out at the river and took in all the magic scenery.

  1. Hi Cindi, I would love to take a sunset cruise on the Hudson. Where does it sail out of and what is the cost. My Tenth Dutch Great Grandfather was second mate on Henry Hudson Half Moon first voyage and he became the Captain returning back to Amsterdam on Hudson second Cruise when Henry and the first mate were killed by Indians. Sincerely, Lara

    • Lara, it was only $20 per person and included a DJ (we didn’t like the music as much so we sat on the upper level) But they have more romantic choices. Even dinner & a cruise for $55 a person!
It’s The Hudson River Cruises out of Kingston NY. They have day cruises also. But I wanted to take some great shots of the sunset and how the sun played on the lighthouses. I’ll post those photos soon.
      Stay tuned.
