We Survived The Polar Vortex!

Temps hit 45F degrees at 2PM today, and guess what? Hubs, doggie and I were out in full force doing what we love to do the best: taking a walk. A very long walk. Clocked in at 2.3 miles. Truthfully, I would have walked and walked and walked just to breathe in all that good, clean, much warmer, fresh mountain air.

It was just a lovely day!

IS THAT THE SUN SHINNING ON OUR FACES? YES! YES! YES!

While we were out walking, I left most of the windows on our house open. So nice to air out the house! Also, popped a set of baby back ribs to slow cook in the oven (after applying a brown sugar based spice rub!) I’ll prepare a side salad and then we can sit down and watch the S(T)uper Bowl.

The roads are clear. The snow is melting. Note to self: I need a serious haircut, now that my hat is finally off!

The next two days promise 50+F degrees. Gosh. It’s down right tropical.  Soon all of this snow will be gone.

  1. 54 degrees here and I’m laid out on the couch with a hangover from my husband’s work function last night. There’s just not enough wine in the world to get through those…
I will be out and about tomorrow for sure when temps are supposed to reach the 60’s. 🙂

    • Mud is good. The sun will dry it right up! Enjoy your fajitas. Like minds think alike. We’re having those tomorrow night! Enjoy! Life is good.
