You Can Burn Our Churches But Christianity Lives On.

There’s been a spate of Catholic Churches being burned and desecrated throughout Europe lately, especially in France (Note: USA not exempt). The recent burning of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, though right now being labeled as accidental, still doesn’t change the fact that Christianity is under attack.

According to this recent Newsweek article (click here):

France has seen a spate of attacks against Catholic churches since the start of the year, vandalism that has included arson and desecration. Vandals have smashed statues, knocked down tabernacles, scattered or destroyed the Eucharist and torn down crosses, sparking fears of a rise in anti-Catholic sentiment in the country.

Last Sunday, the historic Church of St. Sulpice in Paris was set on fire just after midday mass on Sunday,  Le Parisien. Last month, at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Houilles, in north-central France, a statue of the Virgin Mary was found smashed, and the altar cross had been thrown on the ground, according to  La Croix International. And in the southern city of Nimes, near the Spanish border, vandals looted the altar of the church of Notre-Dame des Enfants (Our Lady of the Children) and smeared a cross with human excrement.

You can burn all the churches you want, people. You can smash statues, smear shi*t all over an altar, vandalize the poor box, slit the throats of the priests, rape the nuns or whatever it is in your evil mind you want to do, but it all will be in vain. You can not and you will not ever stop Christianity. Churches are just buildings. Statues and poor boxes are just material possessions. They are meaningless. The power of Jesus Christ and God are more powerful than you can ever imagine.

And if planet earth continues to disparage our Lord and our Savior as they have already been doing, God will most definitely send His son back to us once again. But there will be a whole lotta fire and brimstone before that happens.

It’s very simple. God laid down the law He wants all of us to follow. They are called: The Ten Commandments. Follow them and you are saved. Ignore them, and pay the price. I think we are starting to see the price we all will eventually pay.

Ten Commandments
  • I am the LORD thy God.
  • No other gods before me.
  • No graven images or likenesses.
  • Not take the LORD’s name in vain.
  • Remember the sabbath day.
  • Honour thy father and thy mother.
  • Thou shalt not kill.
  • Thou shalt not commit adultery.
  • Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife.
  • Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s goods.

Around 7:55pm, yesterday, a man walked into St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan with gas cans and lighter fluid, and was subsequently apprehended by @NYPDCT without incident. We thank our partners for their help, and remember – if you see something, say something.
